Lance and Melody’s Vietnamese Tea Ceremony

Lance and Melody had a Vietnamese wedding tea ceremony at Melody’s family home in Kelso, WA.  Everyone piled into the family room to watch Melody and Lance ask for blessings from their parents and ancestors.

Traditional Vietnamese outfits, called ao dai, were worn by the couple, Melody’s family, and two members of Lance’s family.

Afterwards, the couple served wine to their guests in return for advice and gifts.

I may be biased, but I love the food at Vietnamese weddings.  All of this was homemade by Melody’s relatives.  I was so impressed!

Apparently the McRib was back, so the groom went on a fast food run to fulfill his bride’s McDonald’s craving.
