CJ and Maggie’s Wedding at the Scottish Rite Center
CJ and Maggie had their wedding at the Scottish Rite Center in downtown Portland. Again, just like with Carolyn and Adam’s wedding, Eric and I split up early in the prep. While the ladies and I were hanging out in the lower floor, the boys dressed early and headed to a bar – without telling us! The ceremony was quick and sweet in the theater. I had a great view from the balcony of the theater, but the low railing keeping me on the balcony was far from reassuring (a concern the Groom also shared while up there).
The reception was in their banquet room, where the catering (Catering by Kurt) was deelish; I was in love with the chicken, roast beef, and roast potatoes (surprise?). The DJ was funny and got the crowd on the dance floor (all generations!). Toasts were made with local micro brews in champagne glasses, per the Bride and Groom’s requests. It brought me back to their engagement session where Eric took them to MacTarnahan’s bar for casual but fun photos. How appropriate 🙂
The lovely Maggie
Atlas, the ring “bear”er. His eagerness to greet everyone meant he couldn’t attend the ceremony 😦
He went looking for Maggie, as she was making her way up to the theater, and was plenty proud of himself for finding her.
Pretty good looking roasted potatoes, huh?
